Josh Miller (24 years old), originally from the US, now living and working in London, is the founder of Branch, an 8-person startup which was acquired by Facebook for $15 million. He was counted to the 30 under 30 by forbes. Branch was initially focused on getting smart, coherent comments on the Internet. Then it did „Potluck,“ which was another way to get people talking about what they were doing. Neither application had great traction, so it’s going to Facebook. Branch was founded and led by the 24-year-old Princeton dropout Josh Miller. Miller has the design skills and product ambition and now is a great product manager for Facebook. Millers clear and outspoken opinion on Facebook was quite negative at some time. In this evening, Josh will tell us what the idea behind branch was, about his experiences building up a company and why even selling it to Facebook. What are the crucial point when selling a startup?
